Tarun Arora, an Indian male model turned actor started his acting career with a cameo in the film, Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. After working in several low-budget films, he received recognition for his role in Jab We Met.
Arora was working as a hospitality manager at a five-star hotel in Bangalore when he developed an interest in modeling. He won the Gladrags Manhunt in 1998. After that, he was seen in advertisement campaigns for brands like Raymond, Westside, Kwality Walls, McDowell?s whiskey, and LG, and walking the runway for several designers.
Arora filmed his first Bollywood role in 1999, a cameo in Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. He had his first major role in the movie Hawas, which did not perform well. During the next three years, he performed in several low-budget films like Sheen (2004), 19 Revolutions (2004), Men Not Allowed (2006), and Ghuttan (2007), but none of these managed to make any impact.
In 2007, he performed in the film, Jab We Met, in which he played the role of Kareena Kapoor's lover who rejects her and comes back, only to get rejected himself. The film was a major hit on the box office.
In 2009, he performed in two films: 2 and Love Guru'.
