More about Nana

Most successful movies:
Ankush , Tirangaa, Krantiveer, Parinda and Agnisakshi.

Best Performances:
Ankush, Tirangaa, Krantiveer, Parinda, Agnisakshi, Yeshwant and Khamoshi - The Musical.?

Awards:
Best villian for 'Parinda' (Filmfare - 1989) & Best actor for 'Krantiveer' (Filmfare - 1995)?

Current Status:?
The messiah of the working class. The saviour of the downtrodden. Nana is the real life hero. His volatile outbusts and intense performances seem realistic because they are and perhaps his audiences recognise that. He is opposed to the system. The audience knows exactly what to expect when they buy a ticket for a Nana Patekar flick. He usually chips in one hit a year but post 'Ghulam-E-Mustafa' and the disastrous 'Yugpurush' critics have begun questioning whether Nana can carry a film on his own...?

Strengths:?
Amazing actor - he is known for his dialogue delievery and punch lines, most of which are his own. Additionally he fits with equal ease into arty and commerciial projects.?

Weaknesses:?
He interferes with aspects of direction and is apparently not too comfortable to work with - with him in a movie the others tend to get a raw deal. He is also no longer in that position to dance around the trees - he needs a supporting hero. Too repetitive at times.?

What to watch for:
